Shalom from Jerusalem,
the city whom really needs peace right now.
Searching for the murderers from Thursday night's attack. |
As we write this blog, at 1:00 am Saturday evening, during the holiday week of Sukkot (the most joyous of all holidays in Israel) our nation is grieving, in shock, and anger & frustration is rising.
It began a week ago, when Israeli border police discovered firebombs and rocks stockpiled on the Temple Mount. Since then, things are unraveling quickly...
Thursday, a Jewish husband and wife were gunned down in their car by terrorists in front of their 4 children. Tonight, 2 men were stabbed to death in the Old City of Jerusalem on their way to pray at the Western Wall. The wife is in serious condition, and their 2 year old child was also injured.

Police shut down the shops in the Muslim Quarter of the Old City following the attack. |
In addition to these two main attacks, there have been daily terrorist attacks of rocks smashing into cars as they drive down the road, shots being fired at vehicles, and even at a sukkah. There's been oil purposely spilled on a road to harm drivers. Both the train and some buses have had rocks thrown at them. And so on, and so on, and so on. A list was just posted on Facebook of about 60 incidents in the past 2 days. This report tells about the sukkah:
Earlier today, a 6 year old Palestinian child was shot in the stomach. The parents fabricated a story that Israelis drove by and shot the child and fled. After investigation, it was found that the child was accidentally shot while playing with a loaded gun.
Even now there are demonstrations at Zion Square in the center of Jerusalem & at Jaffa Gate, and a prayer gathering at the Western Wall. Demonstrations are beginning in several towns all over Israel.
