Could this be war? The stage is set....

1 1/2 weeks ago, Hamas in Gaza launched rockets that hit near Tel Aviv.  A mistake, they said.  Early this morning another rocket was launched that hit a home injuring 7 people and killing 4 dogs.  Another mistake - bad weather, they said.

Israel will not sit idly by and let a terrorist organization continue to put it's people's lives at risk.  Just 30 minutes ago the IDF began striking terror targets in Gaza in response to their attacks.

Leading up to this:

*IDF mobilized infantry and armored corp brigades to the Gaza border.
*IDF started closing roads surrounding Gaza making it a closed military zone.
*In communities surrounding Gaza, all public events over 300 people are cancelled.
*In communities surrounding Gaza, school children were sent home early from school.
*Ben Gurion International Airport changed its landing approaches, and many Air Force planes are being heard in the skies.
*In communities surrounding Gaza, farmers have been ordered to leave their fields.
*More Iron Dome air defense systems have been deployed.
*In communities surrounding Gaza, bomb shelters have been opened.
*Some specific IDF reserve units have been called up to active duty.
*15 minutes prior to the attacks on Gaza terror sites, the IDF warns citizens in surrounding Israeli communities to stay close to bomb shelters/safe spaces.
*PM Netanyahu, who was in Washington DC and scheduled to speak at AIPAC, to return to Israel immediately.
* The Jihad Islamic leader has threatened to respond "in kind" to any Israeli response to this morning's rocket attack. Israel has said, this could lead to war.
*Schools cancelled in Ashkelon for Tuesday.

Updates:
*7pm update--Tel Aviv, Ashdod, Netanya (and all Sharon area cities) and Be'er Sheva Municipalities open public bomb shelters.
*8:13pm update - first rockets have been fired at Israel from Gaza.
*8:21pm update - all trains south of Tel Aviv halted until further notice.
*9:15pm update - right now (and for the past 5 minutes) there is a barrage of rockets towards the Israeli communities surrounding Gaza.
*9:40pm update - barrage of rockets continue, house in Sderot (near Gaza) hit (no injuries reported)
*10:23pm update - there is a supposed ceasefire brokered by Egypt...no rockets for the past 35 minutes....we'll see if it lasts.  Going to bed.  Good night! May we all sleep in peace.
*10:57pm update - ummm, nope. Another barrage of rockets fired into Israel.  And the IDF has not confirmed there was a ceasefire.
*03:28am update - rockets have continued, IDF said some 30 rockets were identified just since 10pm
*4:23pm (26 March) update - no rockets since 3:15am last night.

It could be an interesting night.... how Hamas continues to respond will determine how this plays out.  To keep up to date you can follow Israeli news sites:

Coming home from work this evening, it was evident that there is an increase in security around the city.  This weekend is one year since the "march of return", and Hamas is hoping to draw hundreds of thousands of protesters to the border of Gaza/Israel.

Please keep this all in prayer.  Especially the leaders making decisions, and those who protect and serve.
