Special Announcement - Reporting For Duty!

Shalom Friends and Family,

Linda and I have had the amazing privilege of serving the People of Israel for over two and a half years while being a part of Christian Friends of Israel in Jerusalem.  Recently, I accepted a promotion within the organization to become the Outreach Coordinator for CFI Project David's Shield, an outreach to Israeli soldiers.

From the days of David, and as described in Psalms 90 and 91, and throughout its history, the security of Israel has been a matter of Biblical proportion and of the entire world's interest.  I believe we have a Biblical obligation to pray for the Jewish people and Israel's security.

The enemies of the Jewish State intend to attack in full force, and the fighting men, who serve in the Israeli Army, are going to need our intercession and prayer support!  Adonai Tzva'ot (Lord of Heaven's Armies) is the Spiritual protector and guardian of this Nation, and the IDF (Israel Defense Force) serve as physical guardians of the modern state of Israel.

We do what we can at Christian Friends of Israel to reach out to the soldiers of Israel to bless and encourage them in various ways.  I will be tasked with providing Army Unit support, assisting Lone Soldiers, organizing Base projects for volunteers, and aiding families of fallen soldiers with practical help.  In the short time since I've accepted the position, I've had the opportunity to visit several bases delivering much needed items requested by the base commanders: field tents, knee pads, shlukers (water backpacks), DryFit t-shirts, army backpacks, and baseball caps for summer comfort.

I want to take the opportunity to thank each and every one of you who have come along by our side to be a support and blessing to us as we continue to fulfill what God has asked of us.  We shall continue to update you on our Adventures in Israel!

Deuteronomy 20:3-4

He should tell them, ‘Listen, Isra’el! You are about to do battle against your enemies. Don’t be fainthearted or afraid; don’t be alarmed or frightened by them;
because Adonai your God is going with you to fight on your behalf against your enemies and give you victory.’
